17 June, 2017 is a special day for both the city of Kochi and Watermark Event Solutions as Kochi Metro Rail was launched by Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi in the presence of Mr.Pinarayi Vijayan – Chief Minister, Kerala and many other dignitaries. The event was meticulously planned and smoothly executed by Watermark Event Solutions.
Another landmark event that Watermark is proud to have managed is the Dedication of the Integrated Refinery Expansion Project by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi to the nation. Watermark Event Solutions LLP is proud to have managed the event where the honourable Prime Minister dedicated the Rs.16,504 crore Integrated Refinery Expansion Project (IREP) by the Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) to the nation. The PM also laid the foundation stone for Petrochemical complex at Cochin Refinery, Kochi and also the foundation stone for the skill development institute at Ettumanoor through video conferencing. Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas of India – Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Kerala Governor – Shri P Sathasivam, Union minister of State for Tourism K J Alphons and Kerala Chief Minister – Pinarayi Vijayan were also present
What is your assessment of the event industry currently & what does the future hold:
The organized companies in the event sector as well as the event industry as a whole is now growing at a healthy rate, the reason being an increase in the event and activation spends by the marketers. This growth in event industry has also been fuelled by rising disposable income and growing middle class that is willing to spend more on personal events like weddings and other celebrations.
Profit margins of the events are also likely to increase, and revenue growth is expected to more than adequately cover the increases in direct variable costs. It is also expected that procurement efficiency will bring some cost-control as well for large events though inadequate supporting infrastructure like proper venue, accommodation availability, transportation and technology support can be a concern.
Foreseeing the growth and stability of the industry, we expect good quality freshers and experienced candidates to join the event management industry as it promises a great career.
